What?SoJam is a festival for vocal music held annually in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina.
Why?SoJam was initially created to bring the best of the a cappella world to the Southeastern and Midatlantic United States; a region of the country where the contemporary a cappella movement continues to grow faster than any other. The SoJam vision is to bring scholastic and professional groups together to showcase their talent and learn from one another. Since the first SoJam in 2003, the event has expanded to attract lovers of vocal music from across the USA, and indeed now the entire world.
When?SoJam is held annually in late fall to early winter. SoJam 2008 is scheduled for November 7-9. This year the festival will be held once again at the Fletcher Opera Theater of downtown Raleigh's Progress Energy Center, a centerpiece of artistic endeavors in the Triangle area.
